Notes from the Artist:

I first painted all of the birds, butterflies, and plants in watercolor on paper. Then I scanned each painting and digitally collaged them into this Gaia Goddess artwork before digitally painting Gaia. The elements of the painting have different symbolic meanings and ask us to question our relationship with Mother Earth, Gaia. 

How are we loving our Mother Earth? How are we protecting the land that we live on and the places of beauty like parks, rainforests, jungles, and spaces that give us a respite from the material man-made world?
